“Oppenheimer” Wins Big at Irish Film & Television Awards 2024
Cillian Murphy, known for his role in the hit series ‘Peaky Blinders,’ has added another feather to his cap by winning the Best Actor award at the Irish Film & Television Awards 2024. Murphy’s portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer in the film ‘Oppenheimer’ not only impressed the critics but also earned him an Oscar.
The Irish Film & Television Awards, held in Dublin, saw a star-studded lineup of nominees including Barry Keoghan, Andrew Scott, Pierce Brosnan, Saoirse Ronan, Eve Hewson, and Jessie Buckley. Murphy’s win for his role in ‘Oppenheimer’ was well-deserved, as the film also received several nominations and accolades.
In addition to Murphy’s win, the awards ceremony also honored other talented actors and filmmakers in various categories. The best supporting actor award went to Paul Mescal for his role in ‘All of Us Strangers,’ while the best actress in an international film award went to Emma Stone for ‘Poor Things.’
