2024 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees: Cher, Mary J. Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, and Q-Tip

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has announced its star-studded class of 2024, including iconic acts such as Cher, Mary J. Blige, Ozzy Osbourne, and Q-Tip. These legendary musicians will be officially inducted as rock ‘n’ roll royalty on October 19th at the 39th annual induction ceremony in Cleveland, Ohio.

The announcement was made by Lionel Richie and Ryan Seacrest during American Idol, with the ceremony set to stream live on Disney+. This year’s inductees also include A Tribe Called Quest, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Peter Frampton, and Kool & the Gang.

Notably, Osbourne will be entering the Rock Hall for the second time, having been previously inducted as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006. The event will also honor Jimmy Buffett, Dionne Warwick, Norman Whitfield, and MC5 with the Musical Excellence Award, as well as other influential figures in the music industry.

While this year’s class is filled with deserving honorees, there were also notable acts who did not make the cut, such as Mariah Carey, Eric B. & Rakim, and Sade. The induction ceremony will air as a special on ABC at a later date and will be available on Hulu the day after the live event.
