Winners of the 2024 Irish Film & Television Awards
The Irish Film & Television Awards 2024 took place in Dublin, and it was a night filled with excitement and recognition for some of the biggest names in the industry. Cillian Murphy, known for his role in “Peaky Blinders,” was among the winners, taking home the best actor award for his portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer in “Oppenheimer.” The movie “Lies We Tell” led the nominations with 13 and won three awards, including best film.
Other notable winners included Paul Mescal for best supporting actor in the film “All of Us Strangers,” and Emma Stone for best actress in an international film for “Poor Things.” The TV series “Kin” also had a successful night, winning almost every category it was nominated for.
The ceremony was hosted by Baz Ashmawy, and Irish actor Stephen Rea was honored with the Irish Academy Award for Lifetime Achievement. Siobhán Cullen received the rising star award for her role in “Obituary.”
